Specialist in Athlete Diets - DCFSN Cert IHS, ITEC Dip Fitness/Soccer Coach, ITEC Dip A&P and Body Massage.
Anne has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 13 years and currently runs a busy Body Composition Management and Sports Performance Nutrition clinic in Roscommon Town. Anne is certified by one of the finest Nutritional Therapy/Functional Medicine colleges in Ireland, the Institute of Health Sciences (IHS), Dublin, where she now lectures on body composition and calliper skinfold testing. Anne's special interests are weight management and Functional Sports Nutrition using nutrient dense foods to support gut health, immunity, energy production (ATP) and adrenal support. Anne is especially interested in the negative long-term effects of stress on adrenal function and optimal health in athletic groups. A keen athlete, Anne has played competitive soccer for 8 years then moving on to running for 3 years with a PB of a 7 minute mile. A recurring hamstring injury introduced Anne to strength sports leading to her participation in the Irish Open Powerlifting Championships in Drogheda in November 2013 where she set 2 new Irish records in the squat and bench press. Anne has also competed in triathlons and adventure races therefore has a very good understanding of peri nutrition and nutrient timing for different sports. Anne works with both recreational and elite athletes and believes that nutrition is just as important as the training itself. When everything else is equal, nutrition can make the difference between winning and losing.
