Anne has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 13 years and currently runs a busy Body Composition Management and Sports Performance Nutrition clinic in Roscommon Town. Anne is certified by one of the finest Nutritional Therapy/Functional Medicine colleges in Ireland, the Institute of Health Sciences (IHS), Dublin, where she now lectures on body composition and calliper skinfold testing. Anne's special interests are weight management and Functional Sports Nutrition using nutrient dense foods to support gut health, immunity, energy production (ATP) and adrenal support. Anne is especially interested in the negative long-term effects of stress on adrenal function and optimal health in athletic groups. A  keen athlete, Anne has played competitive soccer for 8 years then moving on to running for 3 years with a PB of a 7 minute mile.  A recurring hamstring injury introduced Anne to strength sports leading to her participation in the Irish Open Powerlifting Championships in Drogheda in November 2013 where she set 2 new Irish records in the squat and bench press. Anne has also competed in triathlons and adventure races therefore has a very good understanding of peri nutrition and nutrient timing for different sports. Anne works with both recreational and elite athletes and believes that nutrition is just as important as the training itself.  When everything else is equal, nutrition can make the difference between winning and losing

Tony O Brien


Sport Science and Conditioning Advisor

Tony is very well qualified and vastly experienced strength and conditioning coach. He qualified with a BA (Hons) in Sports Management and gained an MSc in Sport and Exercise Science (Leeds Metropolitan University) and a further MSc in Strength and Conditioning from St Mary’s University College. During his time at St Mary’s, Tony research extensively the application of differing periodisation models on the acquisition of strength, speed and agility in field based sports. Finally in addition he qualified as a teacher, graduating with a Cert Ed from Manchester University.

Tony has extensive experience in Professional Rugby both as a Skills and S & C coach since 1995 working with Super League teams, Sheffield Eagles, Warrington Wolves, Hull KR and Castleford Tigers as well as Connaught in the Magners League. As a keen sportsman he represented his county in football, rugby, and athletics and holds a Black belt (2nd Dan) in Shotokan Karate.

Tom Murphy


PR Department

Tom is a registered professional athlete in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and has competed, most notability, on Spike TV's Ultimate Fighter 2 and is a veteran of The Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC). Prior to becoming a professional athlete Tom spent 4 years wrestling for a national championship team, where he was honored with the status of NCAA All-American. Tom graduated with a BS psychology from The University of New York at Brockport

Lynne Dalton

Nutrition Advisor

Lynne Dalton is our in-house dietary counsellor also currently studying with the Institute of Health Sciences. Lynne has a strong belief that most chronic diseases can be limited or avoided completely with the right dietary and lifestyle choices and is committed to educating and guiding clients towards this more healthful path.

Although her true passion is nutrition she is also an ACCA qualified accountant and oversees the day to day financial running of Genetic Performance.

Keith Wetherby

 

Science Advisor

Keith, the architect of the original concept, is a molecular biologist experienced in leading high-throughput pipelines involved in the generation and analysis of DNA sequences. He was Group Leader for three important projects at a government lab including the Mammalian Gene Collection (MGC), the Medical Sequencing project (MedSeq), and the Comparative Vertebrate Sequencing project. These projects contributed to the identification and sequence of representative full length open reading frame clones for human, mouse and rat genes as well as the discovery of novel SNPs and InDels in human candidate gene.

Joseph Dalton


Business Development

Joseph has over 20 years sales and marketing experience at a senior level both in Europe and the USA. His particular fitness passions are kettlebells and Kung Fu and he is also a keen student of EBMAS Wing Chun . He is co -owner of a kettlebell gym and weight loss centre in Dublin which specialises in combining good diet with strength and conditioning to achieve sustainable results. At Genetic Performance Joseph successfully combines his love for sport with his business development expertise

Dr. Declan Connolly, Ph.D.

Sports Science Advisor

Dr. Connolly, is one of the most recognized and respected sports scientists in the world. Dr. Connolly has twice been a nominated finalist for the prestigious "Educator of the Year Award", by the National strength and Conditioning Association. Dr. Connolly's background in athletics, coaching, biochemistry, nutrition, physiology and education, make him one of the most sought after consultants and speakers around. He has published over 250 articles and is quoted regularly in magazines ranging from Runner's World, to Prevention Magazine, to SELF Magazine. His work appears on over 37,000 websites.
